lopressor 100mg. I have systolic hypertension[206/84] pulmonary hypertension and copd. This was trial and error for my doc back east, but the new doc wrote scripts for losartan and ordered 14 tabs of lopressor for me to cut in half to wean off them. Is this right?
Just moved from indiana to idaho on the following meds:losartan potassium 100mg,diltiazem 240mg?

I guess what I really need is this: Is there a big difference in cozaar and Hyzaar and is there a reason she didn't write the script for 50mg tabs of lopressor instead of 100mg tabs to be cut in 1/2 by me as to wean me off the lopressor? should I be concerned about my dr's attention span?
Did you take your records from the old dr to her? Lopressor and Losartan aren't even in the same class of bp meds. Did she give you a reason? Did she give you a chance to voice your concerns? Lopressor may lower your heart rate, was your's low? If she didn't have your old records I would get them, then make an appointment to see her and go talk about it with the records. It always bothers me when docs change a person's meds, on the first visit.. they need to see the patient and know what's going on with them, and they can't do that in 15 min.
