Have an old prescription that is from 2005, are they still usable?
I would not take an old prescription, especially 5 years old. The pills can start to break down chemically and lose their effectiveness. In some cases the chemical alteration can be harmful. Most Rx are good for a year after they are filled, some less than a year. Usually an Rx bottle will have an expiration date on the label. If it doesn't the pharmacy can tell you if they are good or not.
