... take 4mg today then 2mg every day after that. Can't find her coumadin. Is it ok to wait till tomorrow or should I call a Dr. on call?
Having an INR of 1 which is completely normal is terrible. Her INR should be between 2.5 - 3.0. Is there no pharmacy open Saturday (sorry I'm in Australia so it is Saturday lunchtime for me already) that you can go to? Doctors usually provide prescription repeats here for important medications, maybe it is the same there? It's just the doctor at home will cost a fortune but it would be nice for to have her blood anti clotting medication back as soon as possible.
If she had a prescription call her pharmacy and see if she has refills. Otherwise it will have to wait. On calls drs tend to not address ordering meds. I found a ladies pills under her kitchen table way back in a corner. Another time I found one in the dirty laundry in a pocket. Just a few hints, lol. Does she use a weekly pill box that you set up?
