I have been taking tri-sprintec birth control pills for a couple months now, and the last two months ive gotten my period on the second-to-last regular hormone pill before the placebo row... but it keeps going until I start the next pack. This month it started on the third-to-last regular pill... Is this normal?
It is fine. It may take up to 4-6 months before things regulate out and your body gets used to the Pills hormones. At this point, your own hormones are still being supressed by the Pill. It takes a few months for everything to regulate out. No worries! It doesnt mean that you are not protected as long as you are taking them correctly. Just keep taking the Pills as they come in the pack. Finish the active pills (even if you are bleeding) and start the inactive ones as they come in the pack (it doesnt matter what your body is doing-just keep taking them in order). Try to take each pill at roughly the same time each day and dont miss any pills. This will help you regulate faster.
