However, I'm having trouble getting 'approved' from the drug company for co-pay assist. I have never experienced this before and I have had co-pay assist from Humira, Enbrel and Actemra. My sample has run out in the time it's taking for all the paperwork to go through. I have insurance however the monthly cost is not possible. So I finally have a drug that feels like it will help me and I'm in limbo finding out if I'll even be able to get it. This is beyond ridiculous! Has anyone else had this problem?
I've had the same problem with actemra it's approved by Medicare for IV use but I have to drive an hour and a half once a month to get it when I inquired about getting IM injection so that I could give it myself I was quoted the amount of $1,600 a month for the same medication
I've had a hard time getting my insurance company to approve a prior authorization. They wanted me try and fall another biologic therapy before they would consider approving it. So I went from Enbrel to Humira and had my worse flares ever. My doctor is hopeful I'll get approved now. She gave me a sample bottle and I started today. Hope we both get approved!
