I have started taking mononessa five days after my period an I have been taking it for 11 days now am I protected??
The manufacturer says that you are protected after 7 straight tabs, true, but most family planning professionals will tell you to use back up for one full cycle as the safest way to go. Especially if you didnt start on day one of your period. This helps you to be sure that no ovulation has taken place before the pills became effective. Once you finish a whole pack and had the first period after starting the pill, you can be fairly sure that you are safe.
