What is the monitoring time when started on plavix??

i started on plavix and crestor april 2012..and have had just a liver and chols. check done in november..i was just curious to know if this should be checked on a reg..basis..my cardiologist, checks my pacemaker(2008) and EKG when see him..do i need to change drs??? thank you

I do not think you should change Drs. just yet, I think you should talk to your Dr. and get checked more often (blood work).By the way you are most welcome.

Plavix does not require regular testing like Warfarin. When it is tested your doctor will typically order a CBC with differential and platelet count. If you are still having clotting problems then your doctor should order genetic testing to determine if you have a resistance to the Plavix.
