went on I started getting sever stomach cramping that was waking me up. I went to the dr even though I thought it was a stomach virus (the cramping was becoming more frequent now) Tuesday I had a 101 fever spike, no appetite, and the nausea&stomach cramps were persisting. It's now Wednesday night and my fever is gone, I'm not as nauseas anymore, and the sever cramping pain is almost gone (it's more a dull constant pain now) I haven't had a bowel movement since midday Sunday. My mother and I thought the vomiting caused dehydration making it harder to go. I used the saline enema extra and tried to hold it as long as I could (45 seconds at most) and when I evacuated it was all the enema with a slight discoloration. It's now 3 hours later and I still have no urge to go & my sever stomach cramping has come back. I'm starting to think it may be a partial or complete bowel blockage. Any insight would be appreciated! Thank you
Kathleen; Don't really know what to tell you what did the doctor say that seen you? I know if you have not had a bowel movement since Sunday that could for sure cause some of the crampings but sounds like you have not been eating much during this time I really think you should call your doctor and let him or her know and let them know you used the enema today. Should you use something stronger or get yourself checked out first. The flu throws your whole body off and a real blockage would normally be unbearable pain and cramping. But to be safe I really would feel better if you would call your doctor. Could always drink some prune juice that normally gets me going when I'm plugged up from the Chemo. I am on. But see what the doctor or nurse says call asap so you can catch them being it is late.
I don't have an answer but i have been the same way for a week now. I called my doctor and I got amoxicillin 500 mg. I started feeling a little better in. Three days and now it is day seven and i am having the same symptoms. My stomach feels bloated and i have pain. I had a fever but it is gone. I am just wondering it it is something just going around. I really feel for you. Sometimes i feel like it is my bowels too. I sure hope you feel better. Brett Court
