Is there an over the counter med she can take in between to help for the remaining pain and burning?
My mom takes acetaminophen and codine twice daily, but she has pain and burning throughout the day?

Her pain isn't completely relieved by her medication and after a few hours of taking it the pain resumes.
Dies she have inflammation? If do she can take aleve or Advil. Is the burning caused from nerve pain if so she needs another firm of pain meds? Sounds like I would take her into the doc for a recheck of meds and symptoms. I don't think these are quite working enough for her pains. Bring a list of pains and symptoms and what she does prior, during and after the pain. What helps and what she has tried that doesn't help. Please be an advocate for her. Most doctors don't really listen well.
