I was diagnosed with MVP at 8 yrs old. Have had only minor symptoms until recently & now have ALL symptoms and they're severe. 3 months ago I moved from sea level to 5500 ft. elevation. Will this cause the onset of symptoms?

- mitral valve prolapse
Your heart is probably working harder to keep your oxygen level up. This could bring on symptoms. I would suggest you see a cardiologist.
