... 3 hours. I read the scabies directions. She has had experienced headaches & dizziness. Does the scalp absorb the medication faster than the body, as if i were using it for scabies? She is 60 pounds. How long will the medication stay in her body? What type of long term effects could result from this dosage?
It is okay that you applied it to her scalp but it should be applied to the body too. You used more than recommended but I dont think it is going to hurt her long term. Headaches and dizziness are side effects of the drug. It is hard to say how long this will last because everyone clears the drug at different rates. Did you apply it only to her scalp and not her body? If so, you probably wont get rid of all the scabies and will need to treat her at some point again. I recommend that you see her pediatrician for advice on how to proceed. It is important, especially in children to thoroughly read all instructions prior to using any medications!
