I am currently on Aviane combination hormone pills. I missed the first pill of week three of my birth control pills on May 1 and took it the next day as soon as I remembered. I continued taking the pills as normal and started the inactive pills at the end of the week on Sunday. I started my period early that week around Wednesday due to the low levels of hormones in the pills. I had unprotected sex the same week and am currently freaking out due to breast tenderness, it is May 27. Is there a chance that I may be pregnant?
I would say you are okay. You made up the missed pill and kept taking your pills after as you should. One late pill (it was really just late, you didnt miss it altogether, you took it late) usually isnt enough to trigger an ovulation. It is likely either the slight change in hormones that has made your breasts tender OR you have just become "hyper aware" of every little twinge (we tend to do that when we are scared of becoming pregnant accidentally) I truly believe you have nothing to worry about. Keep taking your pills as they come in the pack, set an alarm on your cell to remind you to take them and once you have your next period, you'll know that you are safe.
