Was on this drug for 3weeks at 15mg felt a little reduction with depression and felt more energetic and slept better then went up to 30mg as wasn't helping anxiety. After 3 weeks on 30mg had to come back down to 15mg as made anxiety go through the roof constant anxiety attacks etc. Been on 15mg again now for just over 5 weeks and this drug does nothing for my anxiety. Also feel more depressed than when initially started it and less energetic. Anxiety is severe. Tried taking propranolol and then diazepam alongside it and both done nothing for anxiety, just felt weird.
If 15mg helped you, I would give it an honest to goodness try. I have been on this med for over 8 1/2 years and it has worked wonders for me. It was prescribed for depression and PTSD and I am glad to say it has really helped me a lot!! I take 30mg at bedtime after being on 15mg for about a month. We can all react differently to many drugs and different doses. It has literally been a life saver for me. My anxiety is a totally different demon and I take Xanax for that as it stands alone from the PTSD and depression. I sincerely hope it works as well for you, give it time. Best of luck to you.
I agree with what's been said. If it's helped with sleep a lot, then maybe adding an SSRI would help. Remeron isn't quite an ssri, it's a little different, so combo therapy could work.
