I wish 2 get pregnant by August of this year
I agree that pregnancy can happen very quickly in many women following Mirena removal. My best friend had her Mirena removed in January 2017, after 3 years insertion, and found out she was pregnant on Valentine's Day! However, try not to put a timeline on yourself that could lead to stress and panic. It is well-documented of many women successfully becoming pregnant after 5 years insertion, and will happen when your body is ready.
For women that may have read of many horror stories of Mirena complications, many of which almost convinced me not to have it inserted, I had the Mirena inserted March 2017. (I had a tubal ligation 16 years ago, following my third and last child), but experienced very heavy menstrual bleeding, that was continuous from August 2016 to January 2017. Estrogen was not an option, due to high breast cancer risk, and my only other option was a hysterectomy. Mirena has already stopped the hemorrhaging by over 85%. I was able to avoid a costly surgery, missed time from work, a blood transfusion due to low hemoglobin, and have had zero side effects. My GYN feels I can hope to have very light to no periods for 5 years. After delivery, Mirena could very well be a viable option again.
