I don't know about if Mirena is recommended in woman who haven't had children BUT I do know that many women who haven't had children have had Mirena.

The main reason it is pushed more towards women who have had children is their cervix has opened(if they had a natural) and it makes insertion easier. This is also one of the reasons they prefer to do it while you are having your period. I have not had a child and do have the mirena, in fact I am on my second one so I've been on this med for nearly 6 years to treat severe endometriosis and PCOS. Insertion was painful for me, but it was worth it to stop the bleeding and the pain. free discount card
