... legs hurt EVERY day and mostly at night when I'm laying down. I'm moody, sensitive, always a slight headache. I have no insurance now and I'm wondering if it's safe to take the Mirena out myself?
NO, do NOT take the Mirena out yourself!! It can be dangerous to do so. Most Drs offices will work out payments with you or you could look into going to a county clinic that offers low or no cost medical care. I'm sorry that it has been so uncomfortable for you but you really need to see a medical professional to take this device out. Sometimes removal can be difficult and they must be sure that the device comes out intact. Not knowing what you are doing can cause perforation and possible scarring which could affect your fertility later on.
