... after that I loved it. I started having odd symptoms over the past 6 months. Which consist of; dizziness, lightheaded, nausea, back pain, migraines, painful intercourse and loss of interest in sex. I was wondering if anyone has had any of these type of symptoms. My regular doctor has ran many test and everything has came back fine. I am starting to question if I am having some side effects from my Mirena. Any suggestions or if anyone has experienced any of these while on the Mirena, I am just trying to weigh my options and figure out if my Mirena needs to be removed or not.
I have had my Mirena in for 10 months. The first 3 months after placement were really tough, but?

I've had a Mirena for almost 3 months, with near continuous bleeding. 2 weeks ago I began getting all over body aches, intense headaches, a swollen neck (near thyroid), dizziness, nausea and vomiting, and extreme tiredness. The doctors think I might have a virus but can't see any outward signs. I wonder if it might be the Mirena wrecking havoc?. The GP doesn't think so but I'm not convinced. This is the sickest I've ever been, much worse than the flu, and I haven't been around anyone sick. No-one is sick in my area at work.
A friend had terrible side effects from this Mirena IUD. Please do your research on this! There are many lawsuits pending, and more coming.
All of the symptoms I've read about in these comments are possibly from this product.
You can have it removed and if the symptoms go away, then you know for sure. Much safer than keeping it and wondering, in the meantime it could be doing severe damage.
