My stroke - right side parietal region, carotid area, left me with NO residual problems - in fact it was less than 3 hours and everything was completely "normal". All of the tests done - CT scans (2), MRIs (3), echos, Doppler, xrays, blood work, pointed to no issues other than a non-hemorrhagic stroke in the carotid area. Lipitor is a strong medication, and I really question taking it. I AM taking it as I told the doctor I would try it, but I will quit if there are any side effects. I really would love to hear anyone's experience with stroke and Lipitor with a history of perfect cholesterol readings (that is a comment made by more than one doctor over the years).
