hi, my daughter is 15 years old & gets migraines a lot which can affect her balance and make her feel nauseous, tablets don't work and the doctor says the next step is a nasal spray but she doesn't deal very well with them as they make her feel nauseous so adding nausea to nausea probably won't end very well, are there any other options!?
Hello, I get chronic migraines as well. Is your daughter seeing a Headache Specialist? I use Relpax tabs alternated with Migranal nasal spray (Dihydroergotamine/DHE) currently.
Do you know which nasal Rx her doctor wants to try?
There is a brand new abortive migraine transdermal patch out called Zecuity.
Also, you might want to look into Sumavel Dose Pro, it has a new kind of dosing mechanism similar to an injection but no needles. Very interesting stuff!
Wishing you & yours the best!
Hi, has your daughter tried taking Nortriptyline at night? I get migraines very often myself and haven't tried the Nortriptyline yet but my doctor takes it himself for migraine prevention and it works very well. He had almost daily migraines due to an old concussion and rarely gets them now. Good luck!
