I have suffered from endo for over 7 years. I am 22 and just yesterday I had a doctor wanting to put me on this drug. After reading about it and peoples reviews it made me not want it even more then before. I am a student and have a job and I can't afford to have that interrupted. Unfortunately my work is not understanding and if I miss any work because of side effects I would end up fired and school I am just worried about not being able to function. I am super small and don't handle medications well at all and I have a heart rate that is in tachycardia already and because of that I have random panic attacks. So I am afraid that this medication will make things worse. The doctor said that many women do really well with this and from what I hear it works, but I am just looking for more opinions on the matter, because I want to make sure its worth all the side effects.
hey, keep in mind all women are different, but I did take the 6 lupron shots my dr recommended after laser surgery and I was very anxious, depressed, lost 12 lbs for no reason and it made the pain worse for me. Then I found out that the pain may have gotten worse as lupron throws you into chemically induced menopause, and the scar tissue around my ovary was pulling as the ovary shrunk into a menopausal state. Unless you are suffering immeasurably and horribly from the Endo, I personally would not recommend it. This is a personal opinion, each woman is different. I also went into real menopause about 2 years after treatment with it when I was 35 and no family history of early menopause.
