I've been skipping the inactive pills for a few months now, and have not gotten a period. I want to take the inactive pills this month to see if I still get the period. Will still I be protected during this week even though my cycle has been messed up for awhile? I know that if I were to just skip 7 days worth of pills I wouldn't be protected so I'm confused as to how this is different now?
Its effective. The timing of the break is what's important.. Taking the placebos at different then when its supposed to be taken will mess up your protection because the 4th week of the cycle is always when you get your period, even without the pill. You'll get your period.
