... spott. Took the other two pills for that week & the bleeding stopped. The following week was my placebo pills, & i only bled one day. I've taken birth control for over a year with no issues but this is the first time I've ever missed days. Could I be pregnant?
You could be pregnant, yes. You could also not be pregnant. Unfortunately, at this point, it is likely only a blood test to check for hcg (human growth hormone that is found in expectant woman) would be able to absolutely confirm whether or not conception has occured. It is also very possible that the irregular spotting you have experienced is due to hormone fluctuation due to missing your b/c pills for those 5 days and then starting them up again. In my experience, missing a chunk of pills that are not placebo pills will precipitate bleeding and likewise, bleeding will cease after taking the non-placebo pills for a couple of days. I would give your doctor or local women's clinic a call and explain to them exactly what happened. A medical professional would be the best equipped to advise you on how to proceed. I wish you the best of luck!
