Blood pressure readings vary from one to the next and day to day so just because one reading is higher than normal you don't go freaking out and you never self medicate, kisamama is right you most likely need a medication dose change but you let your doctor make what it's going to be and it's possible that your doctor will put you on a medication just for high blood pressure, that's what you pay them for, so let them use their knowledge to make those decisions.
