Metoprolol - do u have to check your pulse before u take this pill??? NEED TO ASAP TY?

Not usually. As a nurse if I were giving it and the person was on it for a while, I wouldn't worry, but if it was new I'd take a bp and pulse first. If your pulse is slow to start with, I'd watch it, but you don't need to hold it for a pulse generally.

No you don't have to, if your Dr. wanted you to he/she would have told you.
I started take Metoprolol in Aug. 2013. I have had no problem with it. I take
25mg twice daily. If you are still nervous about it give your Dr. a call they
will help you. And you will feel better. free discount card
