... I had heard that Orange helps reduce inflammation, and I ate one after taking this medicine. Now that I am reading its details, it says avoid "Grape Fruit products". Would Orange be considered as one of Grape fruit type food?. I wont eat more oranges but I wanted to know did I mess up?
Good news, my friend. Only grapefruit is the culprit not other citrus. Eat all the oranges you like. Right now Clementines are wonderful I eat maybe four a day.
Do watch for citrus products and be sure your orange juice does not have grapefruit. There are quite a few brands that do.
The grapefruit stops the absorption of your medication making it less effective when you have it. Then the next day you don't have grapefruit and you get a higher dose. This can be very uncomfortable and won't help your condition.
