His behavior has improved but his grades have dropped
This question would seem to need a lot more detail to provide any sort of useful guess... Is he still turning in at least as much completed homework as before? Is it all classes or just some? Approximately what age/grade level? Any other changes that may be distracting him even while he is more easily able to focus?
Without any further info, the first thing that comes to mind is that if he was already able to get acceptable grades, the improved focus may cause some courses to feel too "easy" and may lead to less interest or motivation. But, that's a total guess. Good luck.
