This is my second dose of this medication. 4 pills every Week. I am feeling a bitunder the weather. Very painful sore throat. I work with children and am around germs ALL the time. Should I be calling my doctor to tell him I have a cold?
Methotrexate frequently makes people feel tired and unwell. Chills, fever and dizziness are often reported.
Yes, you should tell your doctor about your sore throat and how you are feeling as methotrexate can also reduce your resistance to infection. You probably need to be examined to check you do not have a bacterial throat infection.
Yes, you should call your Dr. right away ANYTIME you experience an illness as it may affect how and when you take your methotrexate. You might have something more serious than a cold going on.
Take care and good luck, Lady of Howard
