Mostly on my scalp and elbows) and moderate joint pain ( stiff painful knees). The worst part is the constant fatigue, its literally ruining my life. My rheumatologist wanted to put me on enbrel, but my insurance won't cover it until I try methotrexate. Does anyone know if the methotrexate will help with fatigue? Is it worth it to try such a serious drug if my worst symptom is fatigue?
I have been on Methotrexate (Mx) for over a year, and now am on Enbrel. Both have only added to my quality of life. Mx does have a fatigue side effect, but I have not experienced it so much that it has affected my life. I think the nausea is the worst for me, but now after all this time, it is even not so much. Just make sure you are getting a Folic Acid prescription along with it and then some over the counter Daily all in one and it should get better. I have been anemic all of my life so I doubled my daily over the counter and I really think it helps! Good luck and keep us posted!
