Methocarbamol is a muscle relaxant that is available by prescription only. It is used for the short-term treatment of muscle spasms. The medicine comes in tablet and injection form; the tablets are usually taken three or four times a day. This drug works mostly on the central nervous system, rather than directly on the muscles, to relieve pain.
Since the med is used only as short term therapy it does not seems that it could be addictive, however please do talk to the doc/pharmacist who prescribed the med.
Take care, best wishes!
