I live in SW Florida, and over the past 10 years, I have tried every kind of prescription pain medication known to man! UntiI I tried methadone, I was ALWAYS in unbearable pain!!! I have gotten my life back now, all thanks to methadone! After years of agony, my pain is well managed with 3x10mg tablets of methadone, 3x a day. That's a total of 90mg! 9 friggin pills!! That can't be good for my liver!? I am curious to know if these diskets are still available with a prescription, or are they only used for detox programs? I had a family member here in FL, who is now deceased, that used to be prescribed the GIANT 40mg methadones! Is this the same thing as the diskets, and are they still currently available with a prescription?
Brand-name Diskets and Dolophine tablets are made by Roxane Laboratories, maybe getting in touch with them with your prescription would be helpful, but it also mention that Methadone 40 mg dispersible tablets (for use only for addiction treatment, not for pain).
Take care, best wishes!
I ran across your question this morning.. I don't know much about methodone. I know my cousin into rehab an is now doing great on it. I'm scared to use it pain. Maybe one day you can help me as I figure one day this will be my alternative as well. Agree with that tho.. 9 pills is a lot but at least u are ok. Take care.
I see no evidence of them being gone so you should have no problem with a script. As for your liver, at one time in my life I was on 240mg a day, yes, 24 tabs plus a bunch of other stuff. My liver survived, I hope that means yours should be fine, don't know. Anyway, best of luck to you, hope this helps.
