i am 13 week pregnant now and found pregnancy diebetic.(gtt 7.6 & 14.1)now reduced that level by controling diet.they adviced insulin & after my diet control, metformin.
Controlling your blood sugar is of the greatest importance during pregnancy. Insulin is the recommended medication for diabetics during pregnancy, and with diet control, it sounds like the hope is you won't have to use metformin on a regular basis, if you do have to its a case of the benefit outweighs the risk.
