Does metformin come in any form without hydrochloride? hcl?

Hydrochloride is just the type of chemical salt it is. It makes no difference in the med.

Yes, it makes the drug easier to absorb in your body. The problem is that I react to drugs with hydrochloride. (ie. Instead of hydroxyzine hcl, I take hydroxyzine pam)
