Ideally, your fasting blood glucose, or 'Fast BG,' should be under 100 but over 50, according to my doctor. After a snack or a meal it could climb to 150-180 for an hour or two then gradually drop back to around 100. Just rough numbers, every person's diet and insulin needs are different! Good luck!
I have to agree with Uncltodd; target BG levels vary by person. I was keeping my blood sugars between 70 and 90, but was experiencing too many lows mostly 30 to 50 BG), so my endo suggested going for a 90 to 110 target level.
