I have been on cymbalta 60mg for about a year now and I have recently started forgetting to take it for days on end if there anything that can physically happen from me doing this?
Hi, simple answer, yes. This medication needs to be taken EVERY day, and at the same time. If you miss doses for extended periods, as you are, then the medication won't work effectively and you could suffer withdrawals. I have a 'pill dispenser' in which i place my daily med's. I keep it next to my bed, so it reminds me to take my medication each morning and each night. Maybe you could try this?
Set your phone for an alarm to take it at night, or whenever you do so. That alarm will keep you on schedule.
Pill box for a week lets you know if you took it today and if you skipped how long it has been.
Forgetting a med like this has other issues going on. Your concern about fertility may be causing an unconscious forgetting. We all do this.
Fertility is not affected by this. Please contact your physician so that you can discuss this further. If you are planning on becoming pregnant you need to discuss with your doctor or OB/GYN before you do so. Don't want to hurt that potential being with medications.
If your not taking everyday you won't be getting the same effect. I to am on daily synthtoid which is for graves disease ( hyper thyroid ) and sometimes I forget aswell but Ive been on it for 17 years so I can feel the difference. My metabolism slows down I'm more tired & start to gain weight. What works for me so I don't forget is I leave the bottle next to my tooth brush so as soon as you wake up you do both at same time so you can't forget
