... spotting for the whole cycle and my blood had a brownish redish tint to it. My boyfriend and I did not have sex so there is no way i could be pregnant. I am just concerned with what is happening to my body
When periods go "crazy", it can really be a scary thing. So many thoughts go through a person's mind. In order for me to best help you, I need to ask a few questions.
1. How old are you? There are some age ranges where "crazy" periods are more common.
2. When was the last time you were sexually active? I know your not worried about pregnancy because you said that you guys didn't have sex. But, knowing the last time you did have vaginal sex and if you had a normal period since that time will help to rule it out more definitely. Also, when you did have sex, how often were you using condoms?
3. What other things are happening in your life? Are you extra stressed? Eating right? Getting more exercise or on a new medication? These things can interfere too.
4. Lastly, when was the last time you were tested for sexually transmitted diseases? STDs are so so so common and most have no symptoms (especially for women). Sometimes, the first sign of an infection is a "crazy" period. If you haven't been tested recently, I would encourage you to follow up with your doctor.
5, One more thought... you said the beginning of last month in your post, Have you had a period this month yet? If so, was it normal? If not, when should it be arriving?
And last but not least. Anytime you are concerned or have a change in your cycle like this, it is best to see your doctor. Do you have a doctor you feel comfortable going to? Have you had an exam before?
I am more than happy to engage in further discussion with you, just let me know and we can email privately if you want.
