... am still having menustrations. I am fine. No Hot flashes! Menustration stops for two (2) months sometimes, and then starts back for two (2) days. Sometimes heavy for one (1) day and light the other day.
The only way to know for sure if you are going through menopause for sure is to go to your Dr get him to take blood and test you for it. Every woman experiences it differently some breeze through in one year with no symptoms at all, while others might suffer with nasty side effects for years. Usually you can base it on family history with your Mom, I couldn't as I never knew mine. I am in menopause now, have been for a little over a year. I'm not sure how bad it is as I had a partial hysterectomy from cancer years ago. I get some hot flashes here and there but that's about it. Good luck hope I helped a bit
You should consult with doctor. Are you facing any menopausal symptoms like insomnia, weight gain, hair thinning, mood swings, vaginal discomfort or hair loss? These are some symptoms that women face during this period. Irregular period is also another symptom of menopause and you’re facing it.
I had regular periods up to age 54; then they tapered off & stopped. So don't go by age only. Consult your doctor for advice, especially if you have unusually heavy periods as this might signal something that needs to be checked out. I've found that hot flashes are so different with everyone. I had different types of them as well.
Consult a gynecologist regarding the symptoms you experience. The irregularity in the monthly periods is one of the first signs indicating you are undergoing menopause. However, FSH test will confirm if you are actually having menopause or not. Hot flashes might not be experienced by every women; so need not worry and relax yourself. Stress can trigger the emotional balance in you; be calm and take deep breaths.
