If its ambien that's causing it, yes.

Hi maggiebeau, how long have you been taking Ambien? And if you don't mind too much, give us an age range? That will help us to better answer your question.
Best wishes,
Lara

Hi, I'm a 62 yr. old female who has been on Ambien for 7 years and have been on Effexor XR for 18 yrs. due to clinical depression. I' ve noticed that my short term memory has become extremely poor, and although I know it could be because of my age! I was just wondering if it might improve when I wean myself from the Ambien.

I took Ambien for a couple years and don't remember any memory problems, although at my age I always have memory problems, so maybe it was worse while taking Ambien. Sorry I don't remember it's been a couple years since I took Ambien.
