my father suffers from alzheimer"s, what type of vitamin can I give him to help him focus a little?
There are many supplements that are helpful in treating alzheimer's. There is a suppliment that I take, it is called Brain Essential from Swanson. I like Swanson's Also CoQ10 is great for everything, the older you get, the less you produce. I would get the Ubiquinol CoQ10, it absorbs in your body alot better. this works well together with alpha-lipoic acid and L-Carnatine. B complex - All B vitamins play a role in treating Alzheimers. But alot of times B9 (folic Acid), is not in the B complex, and it works together with B12 to help memory. The best way to get vitamins is naturally through food B9 is found in green veggies, potatoes, and brewers yeast. Vitamin E is sometimes prescribed for alzheimer's, and taken with vitamin C may offer prtection against an aging brain. Ginko Biloba is used in Europe for dementia. Also exercising the brain with games that make you think and use your brain. good luck to you and your Father, hope this helps.
