In 1996, @ age 33, I had a suborrachnoid brain Hemorage. No prior history of headaches, now chronic Migraine sufferer. Shortly after Hemorrage, diagnoised with chronic depression, severe mood swings, PTSD, short term memory loss. Have permanent brain damage to executive function portion of brain which causes problems with internal clock and getting nights and days mixed up. Tried self medicating with alcohol. Went thru 30 day rehab in 2002. Have remained sober for 10 yrs. as of past March 2012. In 2002, diagnoisis of Bipolar I and in 2007 was diagnoised w/ permanent Tardive Dyskensia/Dystonia due to anti-psychotic drugs. I have in past been on Depakote, Seroquel, Klonepin, Pamelar, and many other combos. Was in patient trials for Abilify, in hopes of it's claim of less permanent side effects compared to other antipsychotic drugs. Felt like Miracle drug! But within 6 mo. of beginning Trial, developed Tardive Dyskensia/Dystonia (uncontrolable tremors and ticks/numbing of specific muscles). It has effected my right side permanently. Face, elbow, hand, and drop foot. I now take Amantadine and Mysoline to control ticks and relieve pain from spasms/cramping. I am on Lamictal, Ativan, Welbutrin, and Adderall for Bipolar I.read less
