I am a survivor of an Aortic Dissection. This is most usually caused by High Blood Pressure. It is inherited and runs in families. There used to be few survivors of this. I am somewhat of a miracle. Some of the best doctors in their field have told me they have rarely met someone who survived it. However, much more research in this area has produced more survivors. But my doctors have told be that I was very lucky to have survived.
I am on many medications to keep my blood pressure very low. These medications make me very weak and dizzy, but if I want to stay alive, I must take them exactly as they have been prescribed. If you are taking one of the medications I am on I will answer your questions about them. If you are suffering any of the things which afflict me, I will answer your questions. I've been on many medications over the years. I'm 68 and have experienced numerous medical problems such as cervical spinal surgery, chronic back pain for years, Meniere's Disease which caused me to go deaf, Hysterectomy, Gall Bladder surgery, Bladder Repair surgery, Cataract surgery, Hyponatremia, Idiopathic Chronic Insomnia, lots of hospitalizations. So if I throw in an answer now and then, be assured I know of what I speak. I'm not a person who fills my answers with niceties. I usually just say what needs to be said to answer your question. It doesn't mean I don't care, it's just the way I am.
I'm only here to help.
