I'm wondering because I have a Dr. who doesn't think I can have autoimmune disease and enlarged spleen at the same time. Both illnesses affect the white blood cells and the platelet counts, but on a round of prednisone my platelets still dropped. But the other signs of autoimmune I had such as inflammation and pain were greatly reduced. And I was able to regain my balance from symptoms of polymyoitis. I also had a lot of symptoms that matched up with lupus and a few other autoimmune diseases, but right now symptoms I normally get when I have a major flare up that led me to finally get in to see a rheumatologist have started coming back. But this time I'm noticing something different and I want to hear from others to see if it is the same or not.
