I doubt it since Meloxicam is for arthritic and inflammatory joint/bone pain issues. I did google it but I know this drug well. Its side effects are not worth what good effects, if any, you may get. I just started taking it again since November 2011. I couldn't remember why I stopped taking it back then, but when my feet became so swollen (overnight) that I could not see my ankles, I remembered. Meloxicam also has a long list of neck to knee side effects from burping to constipation. Try naprosyn or hydrocodone (Vicodin). Call your doctor and ask to switch. All the best for you. I know how horribly painful pleurisy can be.
