Along with this, I work with new families with infants. Many go through the period of crying for no apparent reason which is difficult for parents, especially if no one is sleeping much, and mom develops post partum depression. One mom asked about giving melatonin to her 4 month old baby. Of course I would not make a recommendation as I am not a doctor, but I would refer her to the doctor for more info. I am just wondering if melatonin is safe for babies.
