Hi, after doing a bit of research, i have found that Melatonin has been given to babies as young as 6 month old, and despite some labels warning not to give to children under 10 years, many people have given it to children your grand daughter's age. I would advise you to get advice from a doctor or pharmacist regarding dosage...
I know my daughter had to give it to my grandson, who is autistic, when he was little. His dr recommended it. I have found with it unless you take the chewables it takes about 2 hrs to work for me. I've taken it for years. There are other things tho. No tv or computer 2 hrs before bed, her room should be dark as possible. Try a glass of milk before bed. It can be cold. What time does she get up. Does she go outside and play?
