I would like to be able to negotiate the price of MegaceES to make it more affordable for me. I am suffering from severe anorexia (weight loss), status post esophageal cancer and severe pneumonia, for which I was hospitalized from January 4 to January 23, 2013. I nearly died. I am on my way to recovery the the MegaceES is really helping restore my appetite for me to gain the weight necessary to live a long life. The price (I am on Medicare) however, is really a burden for me and I would greatly appreciate any way the Manufacturer can work with me on this. Thank you for your kind consideration and a response. The manufacturer's program cannot help you since you have Medicare Part D. However you can go to the following site, www(dot)needymeds(dot)org/copay_diseases.taf?_function=summary&disease_id=43&disease_eng=Cancer - All&dx=20, and see if any of these programs will help you. There is no space after the ? in the above website address. This address is for people who have had cancer. There may be other programs for other indications on a different page like anorexia that may help you pay for the drug. Also, since you were in the hospital, you should get their social worker to help you find a program that could help you as well if going to his site does not help. Good luck.
