I went into the hospital because I had a blood clot in the main artery that feeds the colon and got gangrene and had to have 2/3 of my colon removed. When they did my blood test I came up positive for PCP. I have never touched the stuff!!! So I'm wondering if the medicine Provigil can cause a false positive reading?
I doubt that Provigil is the culprit. Lamictal is known to cause false positive for PCP and there is some suggestion that some antidepressants and some cold medicines will as well. You can go to askdocweb.com/falsepositives.html and see a thorough list of drugs which cause false positives.
