I am restarting procedures that require I take a valium one hour before. This time the medicine did not work and when the procedure started, I had a series of muscle spasms;the opposite of prior out-patient surgeries.Same dr., same medicine. After recovery,I called the pharmacy where meds were filled. No one wants to talk to me,but I was given the Rx makers name. I am scared to have my other two procedures if no one will check this medicine. I need some answers.
Perhaps your anxiety levels were higher this time or perhaps you are developing tolerance to the dose and may need a higher dose. This is something to discuss with your Dr before the next procedure is scheduled. Let him know that the medication didnt seem to work as well this time. He may want to change the dose or, perhaps, change the medication to something else or he may add another medication. It is best to be open and honest with your Dr. I really doubt that it was the particular pills not being effective. If you got them through a reputable pharmacy then they should have been good. It is more likely to be that you body just didnt respond as well to them this time.
