I have chronic migraine with nausea. It has been 6 months now. I have had two Botox treatments, but the migraines keep coming back.
Hi, CaryWyant - I take the SSRI sertraline (200mg) for depression/anxiety and to help with tremor associated with multiple sclerosis. I have had chronic migraine since my early 20s, and the best preventative I've used is topiramate (brand name Topamax). It is an anti-seizure medication that's very effective in preventing migraine - it's now even an approved use! :) I have been taking both prescriptions for approximately 15 years with no ill effects. There aren't any dire contraindications, and my primary, my psych, and my neuro are all happy with how I'm doing. I am, too. I hope this helps.
