i have been taking trazadone for insomnia for years. it helped greatly for years but recently its effectiveness has declined. Is there any other medication of this type (not the regular 'for sleep meds').
You can try Amitriptyline if your doctor agrees? It was originally marketed as an antidepressant, but is also helpful to aid sleep & relieve pain. I have used it for many years and it has been great for helping me sleep. It is a good medication to take long term.
Delilah has given you a great suggestion! You might also just try taking some Benadryl or Melatonin along with your medication. Might give you just the boost into sleep that you need without having to add another prescription.
Same to me. I've tried melatonim and its working. There are many sleep aids if you don't want prescription, other wise it would take a proffecional!
