I'm having bloody noses. I wondered if the thin blood was related to these meds I've taken?
I have been on both meds and have never had a problem with my severe Epistaxis episodes. I have bloody noses (Epistaxis) from a genetic blood disease that prevents me from clotting. I know I would never be permitted to take either if they caused bleeding. Moreover, perhaps the headaches may be raising your blood pressure causing Epistaxis. Sometimes, there is a spot that does not heal. The dry winter weather does not help either. You need to keep your nose moist to prevent the episodes. You can use a product called Ayr Gel which you use a Q-Tip to apply in your nose. Otherwise, you can buy Ocean saline spray, but be sure to buy the metal can where the bottle is one direction flow out. The small plastic bottles are terribly unsanitary, because it retracts saline it brought up back into the bottle. I have suffered from severe (four hour long) Epistaxis episodes for 41 years. Trust my advice. I prefer the Ayr Gel which is super cheap behind the counter at Costco where anyone can use the pharmacy... not just members. Good luck and Take care!
